Dodka (Ridge Gourd) sabzi


- 2 Dodka (Ridge Gourd)
- Sesame seeds 1 tablespoon
- Kokum 2-3
- Jaggery grated 1-2 tablespoon
- Red chili powder
- Turmeric Powder
- Salt
- Chana dal ½ cup soaked in water for 3-4 hours
- Oil 2 tablespoons

1. Grate off skin of ridge gourd, save to make chutney
2. Diced in small cubes
3. Roast sesame seeds and crush them
4. Heat oil, add cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder
5. Add chana dal and diced ridge gourd, cook for few minutes
6. Add jaggery, kokum and season for salt
7. Cover and cook till 10-15 minutes on medium heat till gourd is cooked
8. Serve with roti
